A little about me....
Hi, I'm Carrie! I'm a Lagotto Romagnolo breeder and truffle dog trainer passionate about all things truffle-related. My life revolves around these incredible dogs, ethical truffle training, and sharing the magic of foraging. I run a small farm, breeding healthy, high-quality Lagotto Romagnolo and training exceptional truffle dogs. I also ship fresh truffles across the U.S., helping others enjoy one of nature's finest delicacies.
My Story
Originally from the Midwest, I moved to the Oregon Coast in 2014. For over 11 years, I've been deeply involved in the Pacific Northwest truffle industry. Along the way, I've been lucky to learn from amazing mentors—truffle dog trainers, experts, mycologists, and dog trainers who've shaped my journey. Teaching ethical truffle dog training is a mission I'm genuinely passionate about, and I'm always eager to keep learning and improving my craft.

Life with Lagotto Romagnolo has brought me joy, purpose, and connection to nature. Whether you're looking for a quality truffle dog, a healthy puppy, or some fresh truffles, I'm here to share my passion and expertise.
Why I Breed
Why I Raise Lagotto Puppies
When people ask me why they should get a Lagotto from me, my answer is simple: because these dogs are my life. I don’t just breed Lagotto Romagnolo — I live with them, train them, and share my days with them here on the Oregon Coast. They’re my family, my work partners, and my greatest joy.

A Breed Like No Other
Lagotti are unlike any other breed I’ve ever known. They’re smart, affectionate, and deeply connected to their people. Historically bred in Italy to hunt truffles, they have an incredible nose and a playful curiosity that makes them both fun and rewarding companions. Whether you want a truffle partner, a hiking buddy, or just a snuggly family member, a Lagotto can do it all.
Health and Responsibility Come First

Every puppy I raise starts with a foundation of health. My breeding dogs are fully health tested — hips, eyes, genetics — so I can give you the best chance of a healthy, happy companion. I don’t take shortcuts, and I don’t cut corners. I breed because I love this breed and want to see it thrive for generations to come.

Raised with Love and Purpose
From the moment they’re born, my puppies are handled, loved, and introduced to the world through Puppy Culture protocols. They hear every day sounds, problem-solve through little challenges, and build confidence from the start. I also introduce them to truffle scent and enrichment games that bring out their natural instincts. By the time they leave me, they’ve had a foundation that sets them up for success in your home.
A Puppy… and a community
When you take home a puppy from me, you don’t just get a dog. You join a community. I’ll be here for you with advice, encouragement, and support for the lifetime of your Lagotto. You’ll also have opportunities to join in on truffle hunts, beach parties, and events that connect you with other Lagotto families.
More Than a Transaction
For me, this isn’t a business where puppies come and go. Each one matters. Each one is raised with care, and I get to know their personalities before they ever leave my home. Matching them with the right family is one of the most important things I do — because I want my puppies to have the best lives possible.
If you’re ready to welcome a Lagotto into your family, I’d love to talk with you. Fill out an application, and let’s find the puppy that’s right for you.
