Lagotto Romagnolo Rescue & Rehoming
Premier Truffles occasionally helps Lagotti who need a new home. These may be privately owned dogs whose circumstances have changed, dogs needing assistance through rescue, or other Lagotti whose owners or breeders have reached out to us for help.
Our goal is simple: to help each dog find the right home based on the individual dog's history, temperament, needs and circumstances. When possible, we gather as much information as we can about the dog so prospective families can make an informed decision.
Finding Forever Homes for Lagotti in Need
Premier Truffles helps connect Lagotti in need of a new home with families who understand the breed. Some dogs come to us through owners facing a change in circumstances, while others are referred by breeders or members of the Lagotto community.
Each situation is different. When a dog becomes available, we share what we know about the dog's history, temperament, training and individual needs. Our priority is finding the right match—not simply the first available home.

The Placement Process:
Rescue and rehoming needs are unpredictable. At times we may be helping several Lagotti find new homes, while at other times none may be available. If you are interested in being considered for a rescue or rehoming placement, completing our
Rescue & Rehoming Application is the best place to begin.
Life circumstances can change, and sometimes finding a new home is the best decision for a dog. If you need to rehome a Lagotto Romagnolo, Premier Truffles may be able to help connect your dog with an appropriate family. Our focus is on understanding the dog's history, temperament and individual needs so we can help identify the best possible placement.
Our Commitment to Dogs We Help Place
When Premier Truffles helps place a rescue or rehoming Lagotto, we want that placement to be permanent and successful. Families may be asked to sign a placement agreement outlining their responsibilities to the dog.
Lifelong Responsibility — You agree to provide appropriate care for the dog's physical, emotional and financial well-being.
Return to Premier Truffles — A dog placed through Premier Truffles may not be sold, given away or independently rehomed. If you are ever unable to continue caring for the dog, Premier Truffles must be contacted so we can help determine the appropriate next step.
Spay/Neuter Requirement — If a dog is placed intact, the placement agreement may require spaying or neutering at an appropriate age, with documentation provided to Premier Truffles.
